Bowe Bergdahl Nears Completion Of Reintegration Process

By Paul Johnson

(CNN) - Bowe Bergdahl is on the mend.
The U.S. Army sergeant is almost done with his reintegration process, according to a military source.

The official, who has access to information on Bergdahl's care, says the soldier has gone to stores and restaurants in Texas, to readjust to normal life.
Bergdahl was released by militants in Afghanistan in May, after being held captive for nearly five years.
He's been living on a base in San Antonio since mid-June, carefully monitored by a reintegration team.
Bergdahl is expected to be reassigned to a new unit shortly, which would then decide on leave.
