Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) You might have seen dozens of people wearing or holding bras on the Perrine Bridge Saturday afternoon. But don't be alarmed. It was all for a good cause.
"This is our second annual event. Basically we will line up shoulder to shoulder bra to bra on the Perrine Bridge and we will hold the bras up high and it will be bras across the canyon," said Kendra Wolfe.
The event is fun and even a little silly. But it's all to bring awareness to a deadly disease.
"October as you probably know is breast cancer awareness month so we're just trying to get the word out to get people to be aware. What does that a mean, once a month at home, whatever you have to do, check your breasts. Men, women because men can get breast cancer. And once you hit forty, once a year, go and get a mammogram," said Wolfe.
Local businesses also showed their support.
"We think breast cancer awareness is a very important subject to the community. We have lost of employees that it's touched their lives one way or another," said Con Paulos with Team Con Paulos.
"It's touched some of us myself personally and others in the spa. It's touched close to home," said Heidi Block with Planet Beach.
And all of the money raised will go towards prevention and awareness.
"All of the money goes and stays locally to the Wellness Tree Community Clinic. They provide breast health services to the under insured," said Wolfe.
