Brian Hawkins Sentenced For Drug Possession

Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) A man facing drug related charges was sentenced in a Burley courtroom today.

Last November, Idaho State Police arrested 35 year old Brian J. Hawkins, who was driving a car stolen from near Seattle, Washington. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He pled guilty to the charges in May.

Today Judge Michael Crabtree sentenced Hawkins to a total of three years in prison, with one and a half years fixed. Then Crabtree suspended the sentence and ordered Hawkins to serve felony probation for not more than three years.
