Brown Bag Lecture Series Held At Twin Falls Center For The Arts

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The 9th Annual Brown Bag Lecture Series is kicking off the new year with the lecture "What is Green".

The event took place at the Twin Falls Center for the Arts.

Open to the public, the program encouraged attendees to bring a brown bag lunch.

The hour long presentation focused on renewable energy sources.

CSI professor Ross Spackman explains the importance of the event…

"A lot of people don't understand what brown bags are all about. There's a lot of misconceptions about what they are and what they aren't. There's billboards around that discredit certain kinds of renewables. The proponents that sometimes mislead people about what can be done and at what cost.”

Throughout the year, there will be three more lectures.

The art council's mission is to promote experiences in the arts for all people in the greater Twin Falls area.
