Buhl Firefighters Battle House Fire

Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - Buhl Firefighters were called to a house fire this Tuesday morning. No one was injured in the blaze that damaged the home at 1379 East and 4150 North outside of Buhl. Firefighters were called to the fire around 11 this Tuesday morning.
Initially authorities suspected the fire to be in the attic of the home but once on scene it was determined the flames were coming for the main floor of the single story home.

Crews were able to extinguish the flames within an hour.
The home wasn't a total loss. The structure is intact but suffered significant smoke damage to the interior.

Investigators say a cause might have been a space-heater but that's just one possibility. The Red Cross has been notified. No one was home when the fire broke out. The homeowner came home to find the house on fire. She was able to rescue all the pets inside. It's believed that two people lived in the home. Damage is estimated at 30-40-thousand on the structure and another 20-thousand dollars in content loss, officials say.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
