UPDATE: Buhl Police Officer Injured After Shots Fired In Domestic Dispute
UPDATE 1:36 PM - The suspect in the shooting has been located. Authorities say he was found south of Brigham City, Utah. Details are very sketchy, but Twin Falls Sheriff Spokesperson Lori Stewart said that Victor Soria is in custody.
UPDATE: 10:11 am - Authorities have confirmed that the incident occurred at 49 Manor Drive in Buhl. Police officer Benny Torres was injured after being pierced near the buttocks area. Authorities have not released what caused the wound.
UPDATE: The name of the suspect that authorities are searching for has been released. It’s Victor Soria, 40 of Buhl. He is described as 5-foot 4-inches, 130 pounds. If you see the suspect, contact the police. Do not approach as he is considered armed and dangerous.
Buhl, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Buhl Police Officer was injured following a early morning shooting in a Buhl neighborhood. Officials say the Buhl officer and a Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of a domestic dispute at 2:40 am. Shots were fired at officers from inside the residence injuring the Buhl Policeman. The officer was transported to St. Luke’s in Twin Falls with non-life threatening injuries. Authorities say he was treated and released after being struck by a foreign object. They have confirmed he was not struck by a bullet. Officers cordoned off the area of the shooting but were unable to locate the suspect whose whereabouts are unknown at this time. Several agencies responded to the call following the report of an officer being injured. Authorities are currently searching the area for the suspect.
