Burley High School Vice Principal Position Filled
Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Andrew Wray has accepted the position of Burley High School Vice-Principal, filling the spot made available when Levi Power was made principal last month. Mr. Wray was selected from the 25 applicants for the position. Andrew has been teaching Social Studies, Geography and coached football, Boys Basketball and Wrestling at Burley Junior High for the past 7 years. Mr. Wray enjoys all sports but has a real passion for basketball. He will certainly get his fill of sports activities at BHS!
He is a graduate of Brigham Young University-Idaho and received his Masters degree from the University of Idaho and his Education specialist in 2010. Andrew is an Idaho native, growing up in Shelley Idaho. He is married and has 3 children. He and his wife reside in Burley.
He has enjoyed his time at the Junior High and has loved working with the junior high aged student. He views his role as a teacher as encompassing both role model and counselor. He loves helping guide students into who they are and the paths they might want to take. He is most proud of his two elective courses that he presented to the administration several years ago. His law class and history of the military course are two of the most popular electives classes currently offered.
His personal goals for BHS include, “bringing my enthusiasm and positive attitude to the school. I also look forward to facilitating more technology in the schools. I think it’s important to connect to the outside world and continue to move Burley high school forward.”
