By Brittany Cooper

Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Respiratory Syncytial Virus season is here and a local hospital is asking its visitors to take some precautions.

Cassia Regional Medical Center's Infection Prevention Department has asked visitors to take the following precautions...

No children under the age of 14 and no more than two visitors per patient at a time.

RSV is the leading cause of pneumonia and bronchiolitis for children under two. It's spread easily from person to person through sneezing and coughing.

Officials say nearly everyone gets the disease by age two and has it more than once.

Epidemics of RSV last about five months, usually through the winter months.
