Burley Hosts Robotics Tournament

By KMVT News

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Teams from all over arrived in Burley to participate in the CRTC Robotics tournament.

The event started bright and early with inspections, followed by skill matches and an awards ceremony to round out the day.

We caught up with one of the participants, who's a driver for one of Wood River High School's teams.

"Every year the competition changes, but this year we're trying to pick up these small balls and deposit them into large cylinders as well as get these large balls on top of these cylinders, so it's quite technical, but it's a lot of fun and there's a few obstacles in there as well," explains Drew Morse, a senior.

The state competition is coming up and winners then go to the world championship in Anaheim, California.
