CSI Considers Future Moves

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The College of Southern Idaho Board of Trustees met this afternoon to "take a look ahead."

Right now student numbers are down at CSI, but there's still time to make up for that. Income from tuition and fees is dropping somewhat, but it may be flattening out a little.

CSI V.P. of Administration Mike Mason says, "Finances, we're going over our 5-year plan. We're also going to be going over our Fiscal Year 2015 state legislative request. And along with some FY '14, which is our next budget year. Some items that we have with that and some projections, some fiscal reviews and budget issues."

Mason indicates CSI managed to balance it's budget again this year. He points out that by looking ahead five years, the CSI Board is able to take actions to prevent future problems.
