CSI Corn Maze Open After Hard Work

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The 11th annual CSI corn maze is open and ready for business...

But for the students in the CSI horticulture program, getting the maze ready starts long before the corn is cut.

The process starts way back in early summer.

That's when the students plow the field, plant the corn, and make sure it grows right.

And as horticulture instructor Chance Munns says...

The process of creating the maze is a great teaching tool for these aspiring farmers.

"Most students won't be going into corn maze operation, but they do learn valuable lessons in crop management, different characteristics of the corn. So it's fun to show the students those things that happen in the maze and show them the different varieties of corn... things that happen to it in the process," Munns explains.

The corn maze is open nightly from 5 until 10.

Admission is one dollar for students... adults are two dollars and children under the age of six are free.
