CSI Keynote Speaker: Former Newscaster, Now Author & Publisher

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Nearly 1,400 students are graduating from the College of Southern Idaho and Friday night's the big night.

The keynote speaker will be Elaine Ambrose, the first ever female anchor in Idaho back in 1973 and she actually worked here at KMVT.

Ambrose who's originally from Wendell, eventually became an author and publisher. She now lives in Eagle.

So, what type of advice does she have for these 2013 graduates?

“Never doubt your talent, never doubt that there’s a problem or a hindrance because you can do it. I’m from Wendell, the population was 1,000 when I grew up there. I had some of the teachers my parents had in Wendell. But there is the opportunity to be in clubs and have leadership roles," adds Ambrose.

CSI's graduation begins at 7 p.m. in the gym. A reception will be available to everyone in the Taylor Building cafeteria following commencement.
