CSI's U-Pick Garden Is Ready For Picking
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) If you've got a garden, or know somebody who does, you know it's already ripe for the picking!
The College of Southern Idaho's "U-Pick" Garden is no exception. The garden is on the Breckenridge Endowment Farm just north of North College Road, next to the Twin Falls Farmers Market. The CSI garden has plenty of produce to choose from. Jim Wilson, CSI Associate Professor of Agriculture, says, "We have red and golden raspberries, we have peppers, several different varieties, we have beans, snap beans that are ready to go. We have some summer squash, we have a few winter squash that are now showing they're ready." CSI's "U-Pick" Garden is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 12 noon, and from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on those days. It's also open Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., the same time as the Twin Falls Farmers Market. Raspberries are $3 a pound, produce is 50 cents a pound, and melons are even cheaper than that.
