Cabin Fever Day Offers Free Activities For Participants

By KMVT News

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Success Martial Arts is one of 16 local businesses who welcomed in participants for Cabin Fever Day free of charge.

Senior instructor Brian Higgins says he enjoys the opportunity to see some new faces.

Notes Higgins, "It's a neat, low risk opportunity for families to learn about things they might not otherwise explore."

Higgins offered two sessions throughout the day.

He continues, "What we're working on today is the kids are learning how to break a board, which is teaching them a lesson on focus."
Other activities offered throughout Twin Falls included bowling, archery and jumping on trampolines.

Says Jonathan Hess, "It's my daughter's birthday party. I saw it in the paper and it's a good place to come."
Jump Time advertised a free hour of fun at its 18 thousand square foot facility.

Hess continues, "the kids have kind of been cooped up here because its Winter Break. We've been skiing a couple times so we've been looking for something to do so we headed down here to Jump Time...”

Friend Josh Richards adds, “Ironically I live in a cabin house and we really did need to get out, they had cabin fever."
But families aren't the only ones who benefited from trying the new activities: businesses welcomed the opportunity for new customers.
Higgins adds, "Obviously we like them to participate over the long run so having a chance to talk to people that are thinking that way is so much nicer."
