Can We Sustain Twin Falls?

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Sustain Twin Falls, if you haven't heard of it, you probably will soon.

It's an initiative being pushed by the city and the CSI Sustainability Council.

The goal is to conserve the community's natural heritage for future generations and the support is picking up some momentum.

City of Twin Falls Spokesman Josh Palmer says, "we've been working with a lot of local businesses that have really wanted to reach out to the community themselves, we really appreciate that support, and this is a community effort. This isn't something being done by the city, I think one way this will succeed if we work at it as a community, to help conserve our resources."

These groups are planning a Sustainability Fair scheduled for April 22nd, which is also Earth Day.

Another goal for this month is to work with PSI Environmental to place recycling bins in the city parks. Those include the City park, Harmon Park and Sunway Soccer Complex.
