Canal Company Shuts Main Canal Gate for Winter
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The main canal gate at Milner Dam is shut off for the winter.
Around 10 a.m. Monday the Twin Falls Canal Company stopped the flow. As the system drains, and depending on their location, some farmers will receive water until October 25th. "You can see here at Milner as we shut our canal off, last year w were spilling water at Milner, won't happen this year. We're going to save every bit of it," said Brian Olmstead, Twin Falls Canal Company. The canal company will turn the water flow back on in the spring. Comments ( |
