Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) For parents of young trick or treaters the weeks following Halloween are always filed with mounds of candy and the ever dreaded sugar highs and sugar lows.
Well one dentist in Twin Falls decided to take a hands on approach to fight back against that problem.
This year, Doctor Bryce Barfuss of Summit Dental Care is offering to buy back your child's candy and donate it to a good cause.
For every pound of candy that you and your child bring into Summit Dental, Doctor Barfuss will pay you a dollar.
And don't worry; the candy won't be thrown away...
All of the candy will be boxed up and sent overseas to our troops stationed around the world.
"I think it's a win... win... win... it's a win for the kids because they get something out of it. It's a win for the parents because they get rid of their excess candy. And it's a win for the troops. So we want to show that we support, we wanna make sure that we're educating the patients about oral health." Said Dr. Bryce Barfuss from Summit Dental Care
On Thursday you can stop by Summit Dental from 3:30 to 6 and sell back your candy.
Their office is located at 285 Canyon Crest Drive in Twin Falls.
Two other dentist offices in the area are also doing the same thing.
On Thursday and Friday you can stop by Today's Dental Care located at 119 Country Lane in Jerome.
And also at Smiles For Kids located at 1141 Falls Avenue East here in Twin Falls.
Both locations will also give you a dollar a pound for your candy treats.
