Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The Cassia County Fair is underway in Burley, with its annual parade taking place Wednesday morning.
Idaho's First News was there to share in the celebration.
The streets were lined with eager spectators, watching performances and lots of kids racing for their share of candy.
For Mike Wilcox of Transystems, it's a pleasure to take part.
"Getting to see everybody, it's just a fun day. This is the last parade of the year, so we're going to go out with a bang," he said.
The Burley Fire Department had two trucks in the parade.
But this year's fair is an opportunity for them to raise funds in an effort to give back to the community.
"The money raised stays in the community, goes to them specifically, gives them the opportunity to get mammograms locally where they could not get them any other way," explains Jon Ostler, Burley Fire Department.
The fair runs through this Saturday, August 16th.
