Almo, Idaho (KMVT-TV) More and more people are finding out about Castle Rocks State Park every year. The newest attraction is a rustic bunkhouse. If you've got a group that needs to get away from it all, you can rent the bunkhouse for $100 a night.

Wallace Keck, Manager of Castle Rocks State Park, says, "We've converted the accompanying garage that used to be associated with this ranch house into a bunkhouse. It sleeps up to 12 people, and you can add it to the lodge for a total of 20 people to sleep over in this facility."

If you want to rent the lodge next door as well, you can get the bunkhouse for $75 a night. The inside is decorated with unfinished boards, sheets of tin, and log furniture for a decidedly Western look.

Keck says, "Throughout the years we've just seen our numbers continue to go up. It seems like I'm always telling you every year we've been setting new attendance records. This year is no different, we expect 180,000 visitors this year, up about 5,000 from last year."

While most people come to Castle Rocks for rock climbing, horseback riding, camping, and hiking are also popular here. Birds migrate through castle rocks in early May, and the park holds its annual birding "Big Day" the first Saturday in June. Keck says you can see about 150 species of birds here year round.

Keck says, "So if you've never been to Castle Rocks before, why are you waiting? We've been open for 10 years, come out and see what we have to offer, and bring the family."

If you'd like to make a reservation at Castle Rocks, visit the website reserveamerica.com , or there's a link on the Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation website, as well.
