Castleford Celebrates Future Farmers Of America Week

By KMVT News

Castleford, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Future Farmers of America are revving up their engines in celebration of FFA Week.

Students in the Castleford chapter drove their tractors to school for the day.

The chapter also took their tractors downtown to show community members their passion for agriculture.

Mitch Mahannah, student advisor of the chapter, explains the excitement of the day…

“It’s kind of a fun deal. We had our big breakfast today, as well, and a lot of support for the community, and it’s our way to say thank you and show them we are still functioning as a chapter and we still appreciate everything they do.”

There are more than half a million FFA members in the nation and over 7,000 chapters.
