Castleford FFA Students Drive Tractors To School

By Jay Michaels

Castleford, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) It's National FFA Week, and high school students all over the US drove their tractors to school today.

That's been a tradition in Castleford for decades now. FFA students served breakfast to their classmates and community members starting at 6:00 a.m. Then after the sun came up, they drove their tractors from Jean Park around the corner, and down Main Street to the school.

Will Kline, Castleford FFA President, says, "Agriculture has always been a huge part of the Castleford community. I'm sure driving a tractor to school is just a tradition for a while. I think it should be a tradition for many years to come, as well."

All told, half a dozen really big tractors made the trek down Main Street. And trailing along at the end of the procession was a girl driving a medium sized lawn mower.
