Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Pope Francis celebrated his first Easter as Pontiff. The occasion marked one of many religious ceremonies celebrated across the world.
"What Easter means to me is a time for me to honor Christ and the sacrifice he made for me. You know he atoned for our sins and it's an extra special day to remember what he did for us," said Sierra Boyce.
While church is an important part of Easter for many, some of the kids we spoke to were ready to enjoy their presents from the Easter bunny.
"Sometimes in the morning we will wake up and we will go into the living room and we will go and tell our parents that the Easter bunny came and we will go and open our presents and talk about how much we love them and thank our family for them," said Kayleah Grimm.
Other people associate the Easter holiday with spending time with family and loved ones.
"Just seeing families getting together and everybody having fun together and just being able to do things together," said Nicki Walker.
"We went out and went to church, three hour meeting which involved us partaking in the sacrament. And our other meetings of Sunday School and relief society. And then after that we came back and relaxed and ate dinner with our family members and other friends," said Sierra Boyce.
While families across the magic valley celebrated Easter in different ways, they had at least one thing in common...good weather.
