Changes for the South Side of Twin Falls
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV )
Residents on the south side of Twin Falls are in for a change.
The city of Twin Falls is expanding the waste water lines, starting on the south side of Twin Falls.
They're expected to replace 43–hundred linear feet of water lines throughout the area.
The lines will expand from 4 inches to 8 inches.
This will help fire flows for emergency access for businesses.
Public information officer Josh Palmer says they'll expand in areas where they see fit for the water pipe lines, and thinks the replacements will encourage growth in the area.
Says Palmer, "It's part of a long term plan. Of course the city of Twin Falls strategic plan looks all the way out to 2030, trying to identify areas where we want to encourage growth, not only businesses, but residential growth."
They plan to be finished on the south side in March of 2014.
They will replace other water lines based off the needs of the city.
