Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The First Federal Bank branch in Jerome held their bi-annual Charitable Foundation Recipient Luncheon Thursday.

14 organizations were invited to the luncheon to receive grants.

The event takes place twice a year, in the summer and in the winter.

The event started off with a welcome by the Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors.

Then the CEO of First Federal welcomed the organizations, after the different organizations explained their projects to the board.

The Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors, Tom Ashenbrener, says it's great to see the organizations get together…

"When you get them all together, there is this synergy of energy. This is the people that actually are out in the community doing the good works, not just talking about it. They feed off of each other."

The event has been going on since 2003.

The bank has given over 600,000 dollars to different organizations from all over Magic Valley.
