Charity Golf Tournament Benefits Area Veterans; Scholarships
Jerome, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Snake River Elks held their annual charity golf tournament at the Highway 93 Golf Course.
The event benefitted area veterans and student youth scholarships. 21 teams participated with 84 people involved. It's one of the organization's largest fundraisers. Jackie Kennedy, Chaplain for the Elks says, "every year the person in charge picks which charity it will go to so it's not the same charity each year." The Snake River Elks cover both Jerome and Twin Falls. They will be out at the Jerome County Fairgrounds coming up next month as they plan to have a booth and will discuss the ever so important topic of drug awareness. Comments ( |
