Childrens Day - A Big Hit For The Festival Of Trees
Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The Saint Luke's Magic Valley Festival of Trees continued this weekend as the little ones took center stage with Saturday being children's day down inside the Historic Ballroom.
With Saturday being kids' day, the Christmas spirit continued to flow into Downtown Twin Falls.
Kids off all ages were invited to come in and take part in a full day of activities, dances, crafts and much more.
Santa Claus even made an appearance to get a jump start on creating those Christmas lists.
“It’s exciting! We have a lot of entertainment going on upstairs. We have Santa Claus giving out some candy canes and asking about Christmas wishes. And then the optimists have set up activities for the children to make either a snowman or a frame to give to mom and dad.” Said Saint Luke’s Magic Valley Event Coordinator, Terry Rowe.
Saturday night was also Ladies Night down at the festival, with a charity fashion show, auction and much more.
This year, organizers with the festival set a goal of raising roughly $50,000 to go towards and new air craft hangar for the Air Saint Luke's helicopter.
As of the end of the day on Friday that money total had reached well over $80,000.
“You realize the magic in the Magic Valley are the incredible people who live here, and give here.” Said Terry Rowe
The festival continues Sunday with family day from 12 until 5.
The Times News will be printing a special coupon in their Sunday issue that you can cut out that will allow families to get into the festival free of charge.
