Children's Day Out Is Educational And Fun

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Local youngsters and their parents spent the day playing and learning in Twin Falls.

The Early Childhood Program at the College of Southern Idaho set up several activities at the Boys and Girls Club.

The event was designed for pre–school and early grade school children.

It featured a fish pond for prizes, face painting and hands on demonstrations by several CSI departments.

"The students prepare the activities for the children. It's a free day for all children in the community to come and so the students have learning goals that they tie to their activities," said Ellen Neff, Early Childhood Program Professor, CSI.

The event celebrates the Week of the Young Child and is co–sponsored by the Snake River Association for the Education of Young Children.
