Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) It was a big day for Chobani, the number one selling yogurt brand in America.

The crowd was full of positive energy as Chobani is open for business in the Magic Valley.

Local and state leaders came out to the event to celebrate what Chobani calls 'success'.

"When you take a look at all of the milk that they are going to need and in order to produce the yogurt. When you take a look at what the famers are going to have to do in order to produce that high quality milk. There will be a lot of other companies that are going to be supplying Chobani that will have to have status in Idaho” said Idaho Governor Butch Otter.

Chobani believes the new plant will drive widespread economic impact from employees, dairy farmers, and truck drivers to businesses and local estate.

"The community has been so supportive, the state officials the local officials we all got together and made this happen and I think this is a great example of how things work in this country” said Hamdi Ulukaya CEO and President, Chobani.

The yogurt company describes themselves as the makers -creating one cup at a time,by the hands of Chobani people.

Chobani plans on producing more than one-million yogurt cases a week and plans to grow to four-million cases in the near future.
