City Of Jerome Looking Towards The Future

By Andrew Reed

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Jerome city officials are looking to the future and working with city council members to create a strategic plan.

Jerome council members and city staff gathered to discuss important goals the city would like to accomplish.

"It was a kick off meeting; we haven't addressed our strategic plan at the city for a couple of years now. We wanted to use this opportunity to do some team building and come up with some ideas on how we can do a better job for each other and the citizens of our community,” said Mayor John Shine.

An important goal is communication between the council and staff, something both sides want to improve.

"We continue to make ourselves more professional and provide services to our citizens,” said Jerome City Administrator, Polly Hulsey.

Citizens can look forward to city leaders working together effectively and efficiently to get the job done.

The next strategic planning meeting is March 22, 2013. Staff members will discuss challenges the city may face.
