Almo, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The City of Rocks National Reserve southeast of Burley is 25 years old. And to celebrate, they've released a limited edition commemorative coin.

The 25th anniversary coin is an inch and a half in diameter. On the front, the coin has a covered wagon with 1988 to 2013 stamped on it. The back of the City of Rocks coin has a quote from the diary of a traveler who came through on the California Trail during the 1800's.

Wallace Keck, Superintendent for the City of Rocks, says, "The immigrant artist James F. Wilkins passed through the City of Rocks in 1849. And the reason why is because he's the one credited with naming City of Rocks."

Keck says the price for the coins is $11each with tax and shipping included. You can buy your special coin by calling the park office at 824-5916.
