Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Those orange cones are up all throughout Twin Falls right now.

Crews are working diligently to complete roadwork.

Eastland Drive between Falls and Filer is undergoing reconstructing of pavement.

They’re expected to be done by the end of July.

"I believe we are on schedule, we have chosen to do some work with it that will extend portions of the job a little bit like we did some work on falls” said Jackie Fields, City Engineer of Twin Falls.

Addison Avenue is the next step in the Eastland drive project.

Work will begin in July and last until September.

After the Eastland Drive project is completed the pavement should last up to forty-years.

"This benefits the entire community; everyone will have a pavement that should be free from potholes and running for some quite time" said Jackie Fields, City Engineer of Twin Falls.

Minidoka Avenue is also seeing a facelift.

The three–block stretch is between Jerome Street and Murtaugh Street.

"They're going to reconstruct some of our sections that are failing and do a little bit of work on the drainage” said Jackie Fields, City Engineer of Twin Falls.

While construction is necessary, many drivers and residents say it isn't the most convenient.

"The construction is annoying but it's got to be done so I'm okay with it” said Joana Jackson, resident dealing with construction.

“Well their doing all this construction right across the street, it shakes our floor, shakes our whole entire house, are walls. It starts early so of course we are being shacked out of bed” said Jennifer Marshall, resident dealing with construction.

A headache for many that will continue for many more months to come.

All to make way for a better road system in the future.
