City Of Twin Falls To Begin Seasonal Shutoff Of Pressurized Irrigation
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Beginning Friday, October 11th, the City of Twin Falls will shut off pressurized irrigation systems around the City. This is part of the scheduled closure for the winter season.
On Thursday, the Twin Falls Canal Company, which supplies the City’s pressurized irrigation system with water from canals in the area, told the Twin Falls Water Department that it will start turning off head-gates on Friday.
By going to www.tfid.org and following the Pressurized Irrigation link on the left side of the homepage, citizens will be able to see when pressurized irrigation will be turned off in their neighborhood. The shutoff schedule can also be accessed via mobile web browsers. To access it that way, the same directions can be followed.
Anyone connected to pressurized irrigation systems is encouraged to turn off sprinkler systems as soon as possible and to remove any leftover water to avoid damage when there are freezing temperatures. Local landscapers will often offer the service at a low cost.
