City of Burley and Cassia County Agree To Law Enforcement Contract

Burley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - The City of Burley and Cassia County finally reached an agreement concerning the City's law enforcement.

After disputes over money and ongoing contract negotiations, the Cassia County Administrator said agreed to a contract on Monday.

The negotiations involved a contract that will begin on October 1.

The Cassia County Sheriff's Office will continue providing police services in burley for two years.

The price tag for the City of Burley is $1.45 million dollars a year.

Another part of this contract is having 14 officers assigned to the City.

The current contract is for 15.
