Coast-to-Coast Ride Raises Suicide AwarenessTwin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) The national suicide rate has been increasing over the past decade. According to statistics from the Centers for Disease Control, nearly one million people attempt to take their own life each year. To raise awareness about suicide, a former CSI basketball player is biking coast-to-coast this summer. Delicia Jernigan is on a mission. "I'm hoping to inspire and give hope to other people who have lost someone that they loved," said Delicia Jernigan, So Many Roads Tour. Earlier this month she began a cross country journey dedicated to raising awareness about suicide statistics, the survivors they leave behind, and bringing inspiration to anyone that has suffered from depression and loss.
