Collecting Coats For Salvation Army's Christmas Giveaway

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Try this senior project on for size. A Twin Falls High School student is gathering coats for the Salvation Army to hand out for Christmas.

It's called the Christmas Coat Drive Challenge. Senior Dolores Kroese has worked with kids in the Salvation Army programs for the last two years. That's why she wants to collect new winter coats for the Army's "Christmas Assistance" effort.

Kroese says, "We need any coats brand new for ages 18 months to Youth Large. And we need them by December 7th in order to get everything sent out like we need to."

If you'd like to help with this coat drive, you can call Nicki Kroese at the Twin Falls Salvation Army, at 733-8720. Again, the deadline for new winter coat donations is Friday, December 7th.

Nov. 21, 2012.
