Color Festival Takes Over Twin Falls High School

By Brittany Cooper

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) All high school and middle school students were invited to Twin Falls High School Saturday afternoon.

The kids took over the practice field to throw chalk at one another and listen to music. This is the second year the students have held this event and let's just say it was nothing short of colorful.

"This is an Indian celebration and it's celebrating the change of winter to spring with the throwing of colors into the air and we actually got the chalk from an Indian Temple from Utah," says Aubrey Allen, the Activities Director at Twin Falls High School.

The students tell us the chalk was bio–degradable since it covered the grass and with temperatures in the 80's this was a perfect opportunity to celebrate the new season, officially.
