Committee Considers Wastewater Needs, Concerns
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Earlier this week, a new committee toured the waste water treatment plant for the city of Twin Falls.
Members of the citizens advisory committee for wastewater met today to address current and potential problems. One of the members says growth involves residential, commercial, and industrial demands on waste water treatment plants.
Committee member Don Acheson says, "We'll be addressing specifically the issue of does the community want to grow? And how are we going to achieve that growth, how are we going to afford it? Or are we going to stay where we are and not have those opportunities for growth?"
Acheson says Twin Falls is "not" alone when it comes to problems like this. He says just about every Magic Valley community is near full capacity when it comes to their water and waste water treatment plants.
