Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Computers For Kids organization has given away 3,000 computers in Magic Valley during the last ten years.

Statewide, they're coming up on giving away their 30,000th computer soon. Right now they're taking applications from local students, and the deadline to apply is coming up on April 30th.

Tammy Gardner, Director of Computers For Kids, says, "We only hand out Pentium 4 computers to the students.  They have Windows XP and they have a free version of OpenOffice.  And they have tech support for a whole year, so they're about two to three years old."

They hope to give away 600 computers in Magic Valley in May.

To get an application for Computers For Kids, you can call their office in Boise at (208) 345-0346.

You can also visit cfkidaho.org to download an application form.
