Construction To Begin on Judicial Center in Cassia County

Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV/KTWT-TV) - Construction will start soon on the judicial center in Cassia County.

Renovation of the old grocery store in Burley could begin as early as Wednesday.

Commissioners are in the process of completing the contract with Starr Corporation.

The former grocery store at 1555 Overland Avenue will be turned into courtrooms, offices and an inmate detention center.

Roughly 30 contractors bid on the project.

The judicial project was estimated at $1.8 million.

It should be done between July and October.
