Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A new Idaho Girl Scout cookie sales tax exemption has hit a major roadblock in becoming official.

After passing through the House Revue and Tax Committee to the full House of Representatives by a vote of 59 to 11.

The bill is now being held back by the Senate Local Government and Taxation Committee Chairman, Senator Jeff Siddoway.

With just one week left in the legislative session Siddoway has yet to allow testimony on the new bill.

Without a testimonial hearing, the bill will more than likely die.

The Girl Scouts of Silver Sage are asking for your help to make this happen.

They are asking for Idahoans to contact their local legislators and ask for the hearing to take place before this session is over.
