Crab Feed Raises Money For Twin Falls High School

By Jay Michaels

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) Local organizations have all kinds of fund raisers. For the last eight years, the Twin Falls High School boys basketball team has hosted a crab feed.

Head Coach Matt Harr says a friend from California told him that crab feeds are very popular in the San Francisco Bay area. The rest, as they say, is history.

Harr says, "We get about 500, 600 people every year. It's all you can eat, it's fresh from the coast, it's not frozen. They cook it, clean it, crack it. We have a crew that goes down there, picks it up, and brings it back."

The crab feed will be held in the Twin Falls High School cafeteria from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. this Saturday, February 9th. Tickets are $30 per person. Jim-Bob's Bakery is donating homemade rolls, Pepsi will provide drinks, and side dishes will also be available.
