Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) If someone calls you asking for your credit card to make a payment to a bill, never give it to them! That’s the warning from the City of Twin Falls. Cable One General Manager Russ Young is reporting that someone is posing as one of their company representatives. If they are able to get credit card information, Young said, the caller makes the promise of some free service. “That’s not how we operate.” Cable One, just like any reputable company, will never call and ask for your card information.
The cable company filled a report with the Twin Falls Police department asking they investigate. Josh Palmer with the city said unfortunately these calls may not be coming from the area or even the United States.
At this time there is not any pattern but Young warns everyone in their Magic Valley service area, to be on the lookout for such behavior. If you are able to gather any information, authorities ask that you contact the Twin Falls Police immediately.
