DaVita Kidney Dialysis Center Breaks Ground
Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A kidney dialysis center in Twin Falls broke ground for a new building today.
The dirt flew briefly just off Pole Line Road west of Randy Hansen Automotive. The DaVita Center is looking forward to a building with a more efficient layout than the one they have now.
Gina Safford, R.N., with DaVita Dialysis says, “We're going to have nearly double the capacity for patients because it's designed so much better. We're going from 15 chairs to 24 chairs, so there's more space for patients and better lined out in general.”
Kidney patients need dialysis three times a week to stay alive.
Construction should be completed six months from now, with the new center opening next spring. Almost 30 employees will transfer to the new building.
