Damaged Freeway Overpass Near Burley To Be Repaired
Burley, Idaho (KMVT-TV) - Repair work is scheduled next week on the 850 West Road Underpass just west of Burley. The underpass has been closed since being damaged when struck by an excavator that had its arm extended too high in Dec. 2011. Work under the structure will take place Monday through Thursday Sept. 10-13, following a 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. schedule. One lane on Westbound Interstate 84 near milepost 205 will be closed intermittently in that location.
Damaged bridge girders will be removed and replaced Sept. 18-19, and the Interstate will be closed at night for that work. The two-night overnight closure will require a detour using Idaho 27 and Idaho 25 from Exit 208 to Exit 201. Comments ( |
