Dancing For A Crowd

By KMVT News

Declo, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A local dance team is spending hours in the studio, high kicking all to perform in front of a big audience soon.

The Dance Force dance team is getting ready to perform in front of 65 thousand people at the BYU stadium.

This is the third year in a row they've danced in Provo.

They'll dance for the 4th of July concert, which will be broadcast for the troops overseas.

Dance Force was invited to the event three years ago, after being discovered at a dance competition.

So far, these girls have danced behind some pretty big musical acts, including the Beach Boys, Carlie Ray Jeppson, and Kelly Clarkson.

This year, they'll dance behind country superstar, and American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood.

"Wow! This is huge for our studio. We are a small town. These dancers are from Burley, and Declo, and Rupert, and you know, everybody says ‘Where are you from?’ ‘Where are you from?’ And we go down to the big Salt Lake teams and stuff. We say we may be a small town, but we dance big, and we go big," says Brook Jensen, Dance Force owner.

The dancers leave next week on July 2nd.

Once there, they'll put in three 16 hour days, until the concert which is July 4th.
