Twin Falls, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Alyah Silvia drives on Blue Lakes nearly everday, but she admits it can be a pretty scary road to drive on. "I have a lot of friends that have had accidents on Blue Lakes. And it's kind of scary. I'm really cautious when I'm driving in Twin."

The Twin Falls Police Department tells us that the worst intersection in Twin Falls is at Falls Avenue and Blue Lakes. In 2011 there were 14 accidents at this intersection, 12 of those with injuries.

"Everyone's always distracted, either by their radio or their cell phones or pay attention on what's going on around them more than driving," stated Silvia.

Four out of the five most dangerous intersections in Twin Falls are located on Blue Lakes Avenue and Sgt. Wright with the Twin Falls Police Department has some tips for motorists on what they can do to reduce those numbers. “The number one thing would be to make sure that you are leaving enough space between you and the car in front of you so that if the car in front of you stops suddenly, that you have enough reaction time and enough distance to react and stop without rear ending that vehicle."

Police officers explain that the extra construction in twin falls is leading to increased traffic on Blue Lakes, all adding to already dangerous roads.
