Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT- TV ) Teen fads are becoming more popular due to the internet, which doctors say can be deadly.
However, how do parents talk to their children about these dangerous trends?
Drinking hand sanitizer, taking part in the cinnamon challenge, and vodka eyeballing, these are just some of the most dangerous teen fads.
"One of the things that are happening for example huffing and the chocking game, some of these things are on the internet. For the parents and for the kids they need to know what the consciences are” said Therapist Janice Hendrix, Suncrest Counseling.
A Twin Falls' father lost his son to a popular fad, he's made it his job to warn parents to talk to their kids.
"They don't want to give their kids impressions and ideas but, if they don't talk about it then they will find out about it on the internet and the consciences are going to worse” said Joel Smith.
Kids can find dangerous fads on the internet especially on youtube, something Janice Hendrix believes parents need to be aware of.
"Just be aware; let's get the parents, teens, and young adults to be aware of this problem before it's too late” said Hendrix.
A conversation between the parent and child, letting them know a popular fad could turn deadly.
