Deaf Students Attend School To Work Camp
Gooding, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) This week deaf students from all over Idaho are attending summer camp at the school for the deaf and blind.
The school to work transition camp is designed to give students the information to apply for and secure a job.
The classes include resume writing, self esteem building and even how to find interpreters for interviews.
Administrator Brian Darcy explains how important this camp can be for the students…
"We see the benefit of this camp having both short term and long term objectives. The short term is to secure summer employment and getting them ready for the early experience jobs.”
