Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) A long standing building in downtown Twin Falls was demolished Monday morning.

The demolition was to make room for a new 40,000 square foot office building.

First Federal Bank is the business behind the demolition and future expansion.

With offices scattered all over the downtown area, First Federal has been looking at ways to consolidate those offices.

So the decision was made to purchase the building located next to their Shoshone and 3rd avenue building... Knock it down... and construct a state–of–the–art 4 million dollar faculty.

With the downtown Twin Falls area currently experiencing unprecedented growth.

First Fed is more than happy to be a part of it all.

“I think it really helps in giving downtown a sense of… downtown. That there’s people willing to invest money down here. That this is where growth will be happening. Were just very pleased to be a part of it.”
Said Alan Horner, President and CEO of First Federal

Demolition of the building should be completed within the next few days.

Construction on the new office building will begin on July 15th.

A completion date on the new 3 story office building is scheduled by July of 2014.
