Hailey, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) The City of Hailey is teaming up with the Blaine County School District to launch a new program called "Do the Right Thing".
The program is designed to reinforce positive behavior among youth in the community.
Founded in Miami, Florida, the program spread nationwide and now recognizes thousands of youth each month for positive behavior.
The newest chapter of Do the Right Thing in Hailey is the first in Idaho.
"It's just a great program to get students involved in the positive efforts. It also brings students closer to working with cities and working with police departments and fire departments in understanding how the departments work and how we are here to help them," explains Chief Craig Aberbach, Hailey Fire Department.
The fire department is seeking members of the community to serve on a volunteer steering committee.
